Lauren Dunn Director
Lauren Dunn serves on the Board of Directors of International Bank Liberia, having been part of the bank’s secretariat for several years. During that time, she led multiple board working committees including an e-banking strategy initiative and a financial oversight committee.
Lauren has over a decade of experience in private equity, venture capital, strategy and governance across Africa. She helped build and manage a ~US$60M equity portfolio spanning financial services, technology, and renewable energy, and has led capital raises securing commitments from institutional investors across three continents. In 2023, she launched a venture capital platform focused on early-stage African fintech companies. Lauren currently offers strategic consulting services to mission-driven private sector clients across the Continent.
Earlier in her career, Lauren served as a consultant to the Government of Liberia’s Small Business Association and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana. She holds a Global Executive MBA with Distinction from INSEAD and an M.Sc. in Global Human Development from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. She lives in Nairobi along with her husband and two children.
