Cromwell Bedell

Cromwell Bedell began his career as a Credit Officer at the International Bank (Liberia) Limited in 2007, sequel to obtaining his undergraduate degree. He has worked with the Bank for well over sixteen (16) years in several capacities. He climbed the ranks from a Credit Officer to becoming the Credit Manager in 2015. Prior to his ascendancy, he benefited from many extensive local and international trainings including an attachment training at one of the biggest Banks in The Gambia – Trust Bank Gambia. In his capacity as Credit Manager, Cromwell implemented many impactful structural changes as well as introducing new products that benefited the Bank.

In March 2020, Cromwell became the preferred choice of Management to assume the position of Risk Manager, emanating from an occupational structural change. In the new role, he was charged with the responsibility of risk assessing the entire network and making recommendations where necessary. Conducting regular training to acquaint staff with their fiduciary obligation to the Bank and client base was also being implemented. Effective June1, 2024 to present, Cromwell was appointed as Acting General Manager in charge of Finance and Information Technology but oversees other departments as per the organizational chart.

Cromwell holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Liberia and a Diploma from the Banking College, Graduate School of Banking, Madison, Wisconsin, U.S.A.

A proficient banker with over sixteen (16) years of work experience, excellent managerial and interpersonal skills, strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff. Strengths include strong communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to operate independently as needed, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with no supervision. Highly focused and result-oriented in supporting complex deadline-driven operations, with a committed attention to detail. Creative, analytical, and organized
